Join Me In Prayer - Sharing this week’s Franklin Graham Newsletter
Dear Journey Readers,
Every week we post a blog from our Magazine related to the stories we have been publishing since 2007 in the “Journey Magazine Inspirational Stories By People You Know.” However, sometimes I (Ben Cox) choose other inspirational content for our weekly posts and today is such a time! This Call to Prayer and Repentance issued by Franklin Graham is one I want our readers to be aware of so we can simply block that time out to pray tomorrow with all the other believers in our region and throughout our nation.
Our Churches are in desperate need for a true revival where the Holy Spirit is poured out, in such a way, that we repent of our own lukewarmness, in the face of the rapidly increasing moral decline that has gotten progressively worse. As those of us who call ourselves followers of Christ align ourselves with God and His Kingdom advancing purposes, then His light will shine like a beacon through us into the darkness that has enveloped us. Only then, will true spiritual awakening come to the lost! That, in turn, can stem the tide of corruption and greed that permeates too much of our society.
So join in with believers across this nation wherever you are and however you can tomorrow at noon and may God have mercy on us!
Thank you to this week’s Sponsors,
Dear Friend,
As the streets of America boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness, is there anything God’s people can do? You bet there is.
I would like to call for a time of prayer and repentance this Wednesday, Jan. 14, at noon.
As a nation, our sins are so great. We have increasingly turned our back on God and His commands, embracing godless secularism. We need to ask His forgiveness and seek His face.
Pray for our leaders, and pray that God would bring calm to our streets.
There are many who would like to stir things up—there are even those who would like to destroy this great country. Pray that these efforts would be thwarted and their plans would be brought into confusion.
Ask God to use His church to be His instruments of peace in this time of great uncertainty.
Remember, this Wednesday at noon, please stop and pray. Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference.
With humility, let’s give God the glory for this great nation and thank Him for His hand of blessing, protection, and mercy.
